Death hangs over her head, but she refuses to die.
In a city riddled with a fatal sickness, a young woman walks through the bleached walls of a hospital, her sense of self melting away from the feverish thumping in her head. Others die endlessly around her, but something seems to be keeping her alive, trapped in a never-ending cycle of illness.
In a sea of masked faces, the mysterious doctor with dark rimmed eyes and a wicked smile is the only constant. When he offers her his hand she takes it, not just to survive, but to live. Her reality twists as an inky black parasite drips from the walls and she becomes trapped in a dark forest vastly different from the white walls and tiles.
Danger lurks both within her mind and outside of it. The parasite that brought her to the forest plagues the frightening monsters within the dream world, and an emerald-eyed creature of the woods stalks her wherever she goes. She sees glimpses of the doctor in the outside world, and it seems he is no longer alone. To kill the parasite, to take back her own body and mind and wake up before it’s too late; she might just have to become a monster too.
